-> Jon said that this album is social conscious, but not political. It contains songs about mass shootings, the presidential election and the climate change. With 'do what you can' the band also recorded a song about the coronavirus

-> Actually,  the album should have been released may the 15th 2020,  but because of the coronavirus they changed the date and completed the track listing with 'do what you can', 'Let it rain', 'Lower the flag' and 'American reckoning'. The new release date is October the 2nd. Two songs have been removed for the new ones or became bonus tracks

-> The band went to Nashville to record the new songs in 2019, but later JBJ recognized that those were just a few songs of the album

-> JBJ wanted to capture moments and happenings from the past months before the album release because he thought that he could not not write about it. He tried to just describe them and his feelings about them without judging or giving a personal opinion

-> '2020' was first more of a tongue in cheek title for the album, but then the songs became more and more meaningful and serious and Jon decided that it is the perfect title for the songs

-> the cover photo is inspired by a picture of John F. Kennedy where he looks deep in thoughts
