It was the DJ of the radio station WAPP who was the first to show interest in 'Runaway' in 1982 and started to play it freuquently. He was also the one who told Jon that they wanted to produce a record with young local bands and organize a little contest for those bands. 'Runaway' won the contest and the people started to like the new song. This was the basis Jon needed to form a band, so this DJ was the second step to Bon Jovi!

-> While on tour in 2017 and 2018 Bon Jovi gave young, local bands the chance to open up for them. In every city they had another opening act and the bands were really grateful for this opportunity! It's always good to remember where you come from and how you started you job years ago :)

-> the band always eats chicken soup together before they hit the stage. Sometimes they do it before soundcheck, but it is a ritual since the early days!
